We are sad to announce that on February 16, 2024, at the age of 91, Vera Roop of Walla Walla, Washington passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Silas Barton and LaVida Barton of Walla Walla, WA; and her daughter Rena of Olympia, WA.. She is survived by: her husband Robert Roop; her children, Robin Smith of Bellevue, WA and James Roop (Carolee) of Walla Walla; her grandchildren, David, Monica, Jesse, Wesley, Casi, Courtney, Stephen, Patrisha and Lance; and her siblings, Elvira Sims of Walla Walla, Clarice Kiesecker of Enterprise, Oregon and Emmett Barton of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to a charity of your choice through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W Alder St, Walla Walla WA 99362.
