With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ralph Neal Christie of Walla Walla, Washington, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 18, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Dorlin Haste. He is survived by: his parents, Elmer Christie and Agnes Christie; his wife Mindy (Mindy); his sister Judy Haste; and his brother-in-law Lynn Shepherd.

“I was very sad to learn Mr. Christie passed. He was one of my favorite teachers at MAA. He encouraged critical thinking. I recall his twinkling eyes, casual stride, mischievous smile, and giggle. How he loved practical jokes, theater, cuisine, culture, travel, and architecture. His unshakable loyalty to Fail’s Donuts. Few skipped and never slept through any of his classes. The Christie’s have enriched our schools, community, and hearts in countless ways. May that love and support be returned to you, providing comfort and strength during this difficult time.”
