He was predeceased by: his grandfather Claire Keith (Peter) of Richmond, VA; his mother Theresia; and his siblings, Wanda, Iet and Arnold.
He is survived by: his sister Annie; his grandchildren, Claire and Connor; his son Andre Simons; his daughter-in-law Tiffany Simons of Fredericksburg, VA; his niece Maureen Kudron of Phoenix, AZ; his nephews, Larry Braaksma (Angie) of Troutdale, OR and Randy Braaksma of Gresham, OR; his brothers-in-law, Craig Newton of Everett, WA and Jim Newton (Lori) of Arlington, WA; his wife Patty; and also, Arnold, Theresia and Annie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Catholic Charities USA.
