USK - Shirley Diean (Quaschnick) Hendershott was born in Ashley North Dakota, to Reinhold & Clara Quaschnick on August 14, 1937. Her family moved to Astoria, Oregon, where she met and married Ronald L. Hendershott Sr. in 1954, they had been Married for 62 years and had 4 children, 3 girls and 1 son Ronald Hendershott jr. (Dorothea)
Shirley was the oldest of 8 siblings: Marvin, Rose, Eileen, Ronnie, Mike, Karen, Kathy, Ron.
11 grandchildren, to include Nancy, Linda, Tammie and many others; many great-grandchildren, to include Jacob, Nickali, Vaala.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Reinhold & Clara, Husband Ronald Hendershott Sr. of 62 years and Granddaughter Linda, brother’s: Marvin, Ron, Sisters: Rose, Eileen.
Shirley’s family and serving God was very important to her. She loved to Paint, bake bread and was proud to win the purple ribbon multiple years in a row at the pend Oreille County fair for best of show, Shirley loved to sing with her soul mate and love of her life at the River of Life Outreach church services every Sunday morning, to include the gospel opera. Shirley was a mother to everyone she knew and enjoyed teaching children about God’s word and was a very proud mom that God saved her sons life and was very instrumental in supporting God’s work and her sons church the River of Life Outreach. Shirley was a proud member of the USK Community club, American Legion, Evergreen art association, she Loved gardening even if it meant bundling up so she would not have to touch the weeds. and under No circumstances no one would ever leave her house hungry.
