He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Kormanik and Laura Kormanik (Beckett); and his brother Mike Clarence Kormanik. He is survived by: his sister Loretta Hanft (Kormanik); his friend Richard Hanft; his daughters, Natasha Kormanik and Cecile Carson (Kormanik); his sons-in-law, Adam Beaman and James Carson; his grandsons, Bennett Carson, Alfred Beaman and Grant Carson; his nieces, Nicole Conant (Hanft) and Richelle Godwin (Hanft); his great-nephew Julian Conant; his great-nieces, Olivia and Fiona Godwin; and also, John Conant and Seth Godwin.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes any memorial donations be made to the American Lake VA, specifically Recreational Therapy or Music Therapy.
