She was predeceased by: her son Michael. She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Kathy Lickteig, Barb Reiff, Lee, Kyung Suk of Korea and Dale Landon; and her husband Bruce Landon. She is also survived by 32 nieces and nephews.
Chong had an enormous amount of courage and determination that she displayed throughout her life, especially including the last 10-12 years fighting Alzheimer's disease.
