She is survived by: her children, Douglas Edward, Douglas Garbe and Deborah Ortiz (Jorge); her grandsons, Nathaniel Ortiz (Ali), Jared Ortiz and Benjamin Ortiz; and her sisters-in-law, Kathleen Garbe and Diane Briggs. She is also survived by 4 nieces and nephews.
