He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Short and Nellie Short. He is survived by: his significant other Verna Turner; his significant other's child Krysta Weber; his son Joseph; and his siblings, Mike Short (Debby), Jack Short (Tammy) and Paula Warner (Barry). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
