He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy; his son Stanley Jay Benningfield; his parents, Tom Benningfield and Irene Benningfield; and his brothers, Rodney, Jim and Max Benningfield.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Benningfield (Judy), Marlene McGinnis (Patrick), Elaine Cummins (Bob) and Edward Benningfield (Suzanne); and his brother Roy Benningfield. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
