He is survived by: his wife Leah Schelert (Fauth); his children, Marilyn McDonald of Augusta, KS, Michael Schelert of Yakima, WA and Jason Schelert (Karen) of Tigard, OR.; and his siblings, Theophil Schelert of Yakima, Gertha Schlenker (Don) of Yakima, Linda Rabe (Larry) of Toppenish, WA, Mary Schlenker of Cleveland, ND and Sharon Cory (Bob) of Yakima, WA. He is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
