He is survived by: his children, Mary Hoptowit and Gerald Hoptowit Jr.; his siblings, Earl Hoptowit, Arthur Hoptowit and Peggy Plumlee; and his grandchildren, Gabriel H. Hoptowit, Alora J. Swearingen, Gerald C. Hoptowit III, Brandon D. Hoptowit, Kyah E. Lapier-Hoptowit, Tiana J. Hunt, Timothy J. Hunt, Isaiah J. Goudy and Jonah Goudy.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home (228 S Alder St, Toppenish, WA 98948-1622). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
