He is survived by: his former wife Bonnie Petersen (Brown); his son Joseph Petersen; his siblings, Inez Petersen (Anthony Peluso), Almeta Juanillo, Edna McMinds Lance (Greg Lance), Jeanne Jackson McMinds, Julian Petersen (Brooke Broussard) and Jon Pierre Tate; and his children, Arlissa White (Dennis White III), Fish Martinez and Lia Frenchman. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
