Bonnie Jean Pope Obituary
Bonnie Jean Pope, age 68, a longtime resident of Taholah, died on December 21, 2022, at Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma. Mrs. Pope was born on June 30, 1954, in Taholah, Washington. She graduated from Moclips High School in 1972, then graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
With her degree, she worked in the education field until health problems prompted her early retirement.
Bonnie was known for her willingness to help others and for her activism in human rights. She also loved Shootin' pool and had belonged to numerous leagues.
Surviving relatives include a son, Ennis London of Aberdeen; grandchildren heaven Bailey of Aberdeen, Austin Dziubak of Pacific Beach, Anthony Bailey of Aberdeen; two great grandchildren, Penny Bailey and Anthony Bailey, Jr. and Siblings, Wondell Sanchez of Everett, Ernie Sanchez of Elma, Deborah Bailey of Tokeland, Lulu Waugh of Taholah, and Charmain Heffner of Yuma, Arizona.
Bonnie was preceded by two children, Rennis Bailey, and Elizabeth Bailey and three siblings, Joseph Wels, Jessica Bailey and Carlotta Sanchez.
Visitation will be at the Coleman Mortuary on Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A service will follow in the Coleman Mortuary Chapel at 2:00 PM on December 30, 2022.
Arrangements are pending at the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
