He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gilligan and Anna Gilligan; and his wife Mary Gilligan. He is survived by: his children, Marilyn Pfingston (Dave), Catherin Gilligan and John Gilligan (Debbie); and his nephew Richard Hauksson. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Viewing was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Gaffney Funeral Home (1002 S Yakima Ave, Tacoma, WA 98405). A Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (5510 N 44th St, Tacoma, WA 98407). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (5212 70th St W, Tacoma, WA 98467).
