Stanton Leroy Hill Obituary
Our beloved Son, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend Stanton "Stan" Leroy Hill, age 53, went to be in the arms of his Heavenly Father on Monday, November 7, 2022 with his family by his side. Stan was born on September 14, 1969 in Kennewick, WA the son of Shirley Mae (Pettey) and Donald Leroy Hill. He received his education in Sunnyside, WA before completing his last year of school in Yakima, WA. Following his education Stan began his working career with his father and the family business, Cliff's Septic Tank Service, Sunnyside, WA and later ACME Septic Service, Union Gap, WA. Stan worked until his failing health forced him to retire.
He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and sitting around a bonfire. In his humorous way Stan loved to give people a hard time. He also had a mischievous smile and his laughter was always sincere and full of joy!
Stan is survived by five children, Shiloh Ann Potter of Union Gap, WA, Colton Donald Hill of Yakima, WA, Ashton Oma Hill of Yakima, WA, Odessa Evelyn Hill of Yakima, WA and Gatling Leroy Hill of Yakima, WA, three grandchildren, Inis, Rose and Stanton. He is also survived by his parents, Don and Shirley Hill of Union, Gap, WA, siblings Joyce Dalrymple (John) of Sunnyside, WA, Karla Hill of Union Gap, WA, Mary Bos (Aaron) of Monroe, WA, Trava Hill (Mike DeLuna) of Yakima, WA, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by one nephew, Christopher Dalrymple.
Stan's first doctor was Dr. Tim Ausink, which Stan respected, loved, and considered a friend, through all the ups and downs in his battle with cancer. Thank you, Dr. Tim for all the help and kindness shown to Stan during this time.
Viewing and visitation will be held Friday, November 11, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyside, WA. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 12:00 pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyside, WA with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, WA.
