It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mercedes G. Canales of Sunnyside, Washington, who passed away on August 22, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Teofilo Guajardo and Viatrice Bermudez; her husband Alberto; and her children, Lionel, Pedro, Alberto and Helena.

She is survived by: her children, Francisco Canales, Sr. (Maria), Emilio Canales, Josefina Accuri (Darin), Jose Canales, Jr. (Wendy), Irene Green (Jewel), Hector Canales (Dawn) and Manuel Canales (Michelle); and also Alberto Canales. She is also survived by 38 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and 1 great-great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
