Nanette Smyser wrote a sympathy message

“I always felt welcomed in your home with such warmth and kindness. George was always interested in the lives of his children and their friends. We wore a path on the hill between our backyards. What I cherished most, was the respect and love your parents had for each other and seeing that and their deep faith in action, no matter the circumstances. Your dad was so proud of each of you and delighted in the love of your family. Love, Always, Nanette”
