She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Melinda Brown (Chris), Deborah Roskamp (Ed Boitano), Roberta Brouwer (Gary), Stephen Roskamp and Michael Roskamp (Shari); her grandchildren, Michael Brown (Stef), Emily Brown, Lucas Brouwer (Tomi Akindele), Jesse Brouwer (Tricia), Alex Brouwer (Ana Vargas), Annie Benscoter (Raudi), Caleb Roskamp (Amber), Nicolaas Roskamp, Annalies Fultz (Marty), Brianna, Emmett, Ellie and Wyatt Roskamp; her great grandchildren, Jonathan, Arabella Brown, Ben, Wilson Brouwer and Maya Brouwer; her siblings, Nancy Friend and John Friend (Karen); her siblings-in-law, Lydia Friend, Joyce Friend and Chris Drenth; her husband Herman; her parents, Klaas Friend and Pietertje Friend (Wagenaar); and her siblings, Ann Drenth, Nick, Clarence, Jan and Gerard Friend. She was also cherished by cousins and many nieces and nephews.

This group of volunteers makes quilts for the needy as well as for sale, with proceeds donated to World Renew, a global relief organization.
