Rena Heeringa Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rena Heeringa (Sumas, Washington), who passed away on July 31, 2018 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her great grandchild Case William Heeringa; and her sister Catherine. She is survived by: her children, Rod Heeringa (Laura) of Everson, Roger Heeringa (Kelly) of Issaquah and Lisa Heeringa Parks of Wenatchee, WA.; her grandchildren, Cortnae LaGrange (David) of Davenport, Jordan Heeringa (Linda) of Lynden, Reese Heeringa (Tasha) of Lynden, Mason Heeringa (Amanda) of Nooksack, WA., Caleb Heeringa (Kaytlin McIntyre) of Seattle, Evan Heeringa (Jenn) of Everett, WA., Zach Parks (Taylor) of Maricopa, AZ, Marissa Parks and Carmyn Parks of Wenatchee, WA.; her great grandchildren, Erawyn Wynia, Shallon Wynia and Marryn Wynia; her siblings, Robert "Curly" of Lynden, Patti Hoksbergen of Lynden, Ria Bosman of Lynden, Ron Bosman of Lynden, John Hoksbergen of Lynden, Betty Hoksbergen of Lynden, Bertha Stuurmans, Harry Stuurmans of Bellingham, Lewis Hoksbergen, Jeanne Hoksbergen of Othello, WA, Alyce Haan, Dave De Haan of Edmonton, Larry Vander Leest of Oak Harbor, WA, George Hoksbergen and Candy Hoksbergen of Twisp, WA.; and her grandmother Putz. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Meadow Green, Lynden Manor and Christian Health Care Center for the love and care given to Tena the last 11 years of her journey with Alzheimer's disease.
