He was predeceased by: his wife Bertha; his son Stephen; his granddaughter Emma Watson; and his siblings, James, Louis, Thomas, Henrietta DeWaard, Necia Engbers and Evelyn Van Dyke.
He is survived by: his children, Dave Kornelis (Sue), Pat Mason (Doug), Ruth Koning (Daryl), Tom Kornelis (Laura), Philip Kornelis, Ray Kornelis (Cheryl), Lois Watson (Sid) and Ben Kornelis (Pat); his siblings, John, Sidney and Gert Kooy; and his siblings-in-law, Harry Van Dyke, Agie Vander Kooi and Josie Van Werven. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
