He is survived by: his children, Philip Kapaan (Katria) of Bochum and Johanna Kapaan of Rochester, NY; his siblings, Hans Kapaan (Marion), Henk Kapaan of The Netherlands and Lia Kapaan of The Netherlands; his granddaughters, Pauline Kapaan and Klara Kapaan of Bochum, Germany; and his close friend Marci Wilson of Indianapolis.
