Sadie Rueckert Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sadie Rueckert of Spokane, Washington, who passed away on March 9, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eli Chalich and Martha Chalich; and her siblings, George Chalich (Jeri), Eli Chalich, Nick Chalich (Lois) and Dorothy Burns.
She is survived by: her husband Clem Rueckert; her children, Cynthia Van Orman (Lane) of Spokane Valley and Daniel Rueckert (Roxanne) of Sherwood, OR; her grandchildren, Jennifer Van Orman, Jeremy Van Orman (Amory), Jessica Erdman (Lucas), Katherine Rueckert and Billeigh Van Orman; her great grandchildren, Clementine Van Orman-Ballantine, Holden Erdman and Nova Erdman; her brothers, Ray Chalich and Stan Chalich (Leslie); and her brother-in-law Roger Rueckert (Ellen). She is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fairmount Memorial Park Sunset Chapel (5200 W Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA 99205). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Fairmount Memorial Park (5200 W Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA 99205). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Darcy's Restaurant (10512 Sprague Ave, Spokane Valley, WA 99206).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. John Vianney Catholic School or the Hutton Settlement Children's Home, both located in the Spokane Valley.
