She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton E Hounchell and Mary Hounchell (Collett); and her siblings, Anna "Jean" Parkhurst, Bobby "Bob" E. Hounchell and Billy "Bill" C. Hounchell.

She is survived by: her husband Kenneth D. Townsend; and her children, Keith D. Townsend and Barbara K. Idol. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
