He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Hemmerly and Mary Etta Hemmerly (Bell); his son Brian Hemmerly; and his siblings, Daniel Hemmerly and Roxanne Green.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Hemmerly; his children, Michael Hemmerly (Pamela), Kelly Hemmerly Ortiz (Luis) and Mark Hemmerly (Jordan); his grandchildren, Lucy Hemmerly, Leighton Hemmerly, Landon Hemmerly and Abram Hemmerly; and his sister Jane Hemmerly Browne (Dave).
