She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Glen D. Rand and Gladys M. Rand (Shults); her husband Ernest L. Abitz; her sister Wilma M. Vannurden (Rand); her stepdaughter Madelynn Mercer; her cousins, Karen Chase (Shults) of Richland, WA, Duane Shults (Patricia) of Richland, WA, JoAnn Shults of Richland, WA and Rolland Shults of Richland, WA; her niece Sharon King (Vannurden) of Spokane; her nephew Mark Vannurden (Janna) of Mesa, AZ; her brother-in-law Harold Vannurden; and her great-nephew Eric Kingson (Liese) of Spokane. She was also cherished by two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA or the Humane Society.
