She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Ryan and Florence Ryan (Anderson); her nieces, Terri Smith and Catherine Miranda; and also Theodore Blasingame.

She is survived by: her children, Heidi Johnson (David Black), Michele Berry (Daniel Berry) and Kevin Johnson; her grandsons, Shane Shaffer, Joshua Shaffer and Kenneth Berry; her sister Lois Bradshaw; her nephew Perry "Rusty" Collins (Susan Collins); and her pet Rascal. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
