He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edna Weigelt (Vawter) and Gustav Weigelt; his significant other Janet Taufen; his children, Dwight Weigelt (MJ), Sally Piepel (Dennis) and Amy Leinweber (Chris); his grandchildren, Chelsea, Josh, Breelyn, Scott, Kyle, Janelle, Bronson and Brock; and his sister Marcia Tulloss. He was also cherished by five great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made in Loren's name to The Sisters of the Holy Names, or The Poor Clare Sisters.
