He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur and Leda Bell; his siblings, Charlie, Donnie, John Henry, Wayne, Clara and Dorothy; and his children, Ulrike and Frank.

He is survived by: his wife Nelly; his siblings, Lee Roy, Roger, Bessie, Fayrene, Leda and Mary; and his children, Gabriele (Eric), Patricia, Stefan (Kathryn) and Tina (William). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
