She was predeceased by: her parents, James Whitecotton and Violet Maurer Whitecotton; and her sisters, Patricia Ingram and Radene Cannon. She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Paananen, James Paananen and Debra Whitmore; and her siblings, Donald Whitecotton, Allen Ingram, Judi Miller, Susan Pfister and Molly Schnebly. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In the years prior to her death Kay completed over 100 blankets that were donated to the homeless shelters in Spokane, WA.
