He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his daughter Debbie; and his grandson Cory. He is survived by: his children, Sheryl Engstrom (Keith), David Young and Steven Young (Marylin); and his stepdaughters, Karen Cabrera (Jesse) and Lynn Flatow (Ron). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and several great grand children and great-great grand children.
