He was predeceased by: his parents, Lambert Haupt and Ivernia Haupt (Albo); his former wife ReNell Haupt (Jenkins); and his brother Tom. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Haupt; his children, Paul Haupt, David Haupt and Jennifer Haisley (Haupt); his grandchildren, Hannah Haupt, Luke Haupt, Joshua Haupt, Kaitlyn Haupt, Courtney Haupt, Megan Haisley and Anthony Haisley; his great grandchildren, Dominic Wilson, Sage Haupt and Adonis Smith; his stepchildren, Steven Webber (Anna), Jeanne Bakker (Mark) and Royden Kinsey Luckey; his stepgrandchildren, Heather Boyd, Kelsey Tate, Ashley and Andrea Webber; his stepsons, Alex and Andrew Faust; his siblings, Cathy Doerr (Mark) and Richard Haupt (Amy); his nieces, Elizabeth (Cory), Emily (Kyle) and Abigail; his great-nephew Finch Doerr; and his great-niece Mae Kirkendahl.

Due to Covid restrictions at the time of his passing, he was laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Spokane.
