He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Flynn and Rena Flynn; and his siblings, Joseph Flynn and Patricia Flynn McCarthy. He is survived by: his children, Brigid Clare Flynn Henderson, Erin Elizabeth Flynn Saunders, Francis John Handwerk, Hans Eric Handwerk and Terry Patrick Handwerk; and his former wife Elsa.
