With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irene Van Leuven in Spokane, Washington, born in Grace, Idaho, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 14, 2024 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrin Carter and Alice Irene Carter; her husband Stanley Van Leuven; and her siblings, Grace Gamble, Gwen Van Noy, Donna Peck and Dick Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Van Leuven and Richard Van Leuven (Diane); her grandchildren, Sirena Zassenhaus (Aaron), Amanda Crosby (Dao), Tabatha Coon and Nathan Van Leuven; and her great grandchildren, Emma and Ellie Zassenhaus.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Shriners Hospital, Humane Society, or Sacred Heart Children's Hospital.
