It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest H Nye in Spokane, Washington, born in Wenatchee, Washington, who passed away on January 27, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mina MacDonald Nye and William Earl Nye. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Brown; his children, Linda Hormann (Jeff), Ron Nye (Terri), Will Nye (Beth), Erin Brewer (Steve) and Laura Sumner (Nick); and his grandchildren, Lisa Hormann Lang, Jeffrey Hormann, Chelsey Nye Gaudio, Travis, Tina Nye, Bennett, Blake Nye, Alexis Brewer Ballew, Chris, Tyler, Ashley Brewer, Haley and Eric Sumner. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the USO.
