She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Wencel and Charlotte Wencel; her husband Jim (Jim) of John's Lutheran Church; and her sisters, Marcella and Lucy.
She is survived by: her children, Owen (Ginny) and Denita; her grandchildren, Matthew, Melanie (Nik) and Richard (Cally); her stepgrandchildren, Derrick (Shawna), Carrisa (Christian) and Dustin; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Chloe, Caleb, Abby, Carson and Dominic; and her brother David Wencel. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church (4320 S Conklin St, Spokane, WA 99203). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Elly requests that memorial contributions be directed to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church or a charity organization of the donor's choosing.
