He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathias and Hulda (Hilda Thomas); his former wife Dorothy Thomas; his brother Leroy Thomas; his sister-in-law Joyce Thomas; and his nephews, Mark and Mike Thomas.

He is survived by: his wife Connie Thomas; his son Daniel Thomas (Louise); his brothers, Richard Thomas (Sharon) and Ron Thomas; and his grandchildren, Joshua, Lauren and Jonathan Thomas. He is also survived by his step-children and step-grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.
