He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Simonds and Evelyn Simonds (Spoehr); and his siblings, Donald Simonds, Wayne Simonds, Roger Simonds, Lucy Bruning, Karen Rubel, Joyce Garrett and Jean Millard.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Aikman; his children, Mark Simonds, Leah Simonds, Anna Simonds, Christi Simonds, Jennifer Simonds and Gwendolyn Gallagher; and his siblings, Melvin Simonds, Dennis Simonds and Mary Quinn. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
