He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie F. Bolton and Mary E. Bolton (Archer); and his brothers, Clyde, Charles, Carl and Clinton.

He is survived by: his son Justin Bolton (Mary) of Milton, FL; his former wife Yvonne Davis (Lee); his grandchildren, Robert Bolton (Christine) of Noblesville and Erica DeGiorgio (Jay) of Texas; and his brother Clifton of Kokomo. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
