He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth E. Sampson and Grace E. Sampson (Hill); and his siblings, Alvan Sampson, Marilyn Lakey, Mary Louise Carter and Carol Ann Sampson.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Sampson of Cedonia, Washington.; his daughters, Denise Steele (John) of Hunters and Pam Hergesheimer (Rod) of Chewelah, Washington; his nephew Bonus; his great-nephew Mark Bakken (Diane) of Carlton, Washington.; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Gibson (Mandi) of Spokane Valley, Washington, J. R. Steele of Hunters, Washington, Jessica Steele (Corbin Nelson) of Spokane, Washington, Alicia Hergesheimer Grady (Joe) of Fall City, Washington and Jonna Hergesheimer Savitz (David) of Spokane, Washington.; his great grandchildren, Adrianna Gibson, Izabella Gibson, Lyla Savitz, Brooke Savitz, Kaylyn Savitz, Charlotte Grady and Miles "Bubba" Grady; his siblings, Margret Nevin of Spokane, Washington, Shirley Coulter (George) of Gig Harbor, Washington and Wayne Sampson (Marlene) of Cedonia, Washington; his sister-in-law Tina Sampson of Colville, Washington.; and also, Loren and Mildred Dashiell. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
