It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Blake Austin Thornton of Spokane, Washington, who passed away on August 10, 2023, at the age of 16, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandmother Elaine Huffman; and also Laird Thornton. He is survived by: his parents, Kevin Thornton and Kristin Thornton; his siblings, Garrett and Kaylee; his grandparents, Sandy Huffman (Clarence) and Kathie Thornton; his aunts and uncles, John Masiello, Curt Johnson, Justin Thornton, Wendy Masiello, Melody Johnson, Marvice, Kiley, Yvelle, Kerrie, Kelly and Kirsten Thornton; and his cousins, Scotty Johnson, Soren and Toussaint Thornton.
Memorial contributions can be made to Kevin Thornton to supplement memorial costs and help create a scholarship for students studying to provide mental and emotional health counseling for youth and young adults.
