He is survived by: his stepfathers, Fred Backlund, Jefferson, Hutton and Lewis; his former wife Linda Leonard Backlund of Spokane; his son Andrew Reid Backlund of Spokane; his wife Cathryn; his children, Christian Naboa of San Diego, Helen Baker of Auburn and Heather Spodnick; his siblings, Steve Backlund of Spokane, Lee Backlund, Joseph James of Gooding, ID, Ashley James and Claudia Morehead (Cathi James) of Newport Beach, CA; his friend George Wallace of Houston; and also Mary Bell.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hennessey Funeral Home - Division (2203 N Division St, Spokane, WA 99207).
