He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sanders and Roxie Sanders (Weaver); and his siblings, Seth, Charles, Wilbur Sanders, Connie Sanders, Sheila Sanders, Julia Roberts and Eva Frye.
He is survived by: his children, Andrew Sanders of Lafayette, Indiana and Ashley Long (Jacob); his grandsons, Jacob Jr. of Kokomo, Indiana, Noah of Kokomo, Indiana and Wyatt Long of Kokomo, Indiana; the mother of his children Mary Sanders of Kokomo, Indiana; his sister Linda Mossholder; and his siblings-in-law, John Murray (Gaby) of Kokomo, Indiana and Cathy Bouldin (Rick) of Frankfort, Indiana. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
