He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Peterson and Alice Peterson; his brothers, Marvin and Robert; and his siblings-in-law, Dean and Betty Shields.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Shields; his children, Tom (Diann), Jerry (Mary), Jim (Lisa) and Lori Waddell (Steve); his grandchildren, Jordan Waddell (Amanda), Seth Peterson (Kate), Kinzie Davidson (Daniel), Zach Peterson, Tanner Peterson, Alyson Waddell, Molly Peterson and Emily Peterson; and his great grandchildren, Poppy Peterson, Boden Davidson and Lane Peterson. He is also survived by numerous in-laws and nieces and nephews.
