It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerald Smits of Soap Lake, Washington, born in Kimberly, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 24, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Smits and Anna Smits; his wives, Margaret and Mary Beth; his siblings, Rita and Clarence; his son-in-law Darold Thornton; and his niece Diane Reid-Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Wright (Keith), Barb Thornton, John Smits (Pam), Paul Smits (Lori), Rosalie Thomas (Don) and Carolyn Wollenweber. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID, the family will hold a celebration of life next summer.
