She is survived by: her husband David Assad; her daughter Karen LaVelle (Assad); her son-in-law Scott LaVelle; her grandchildren, Dylan, Sierra and Meghan LaVelle; and her great grandchild Alexander Wright.
Her family asks that, in lieu of flowers, well-wishers make a donation to their local animal shelter or an environmental group in her honor.
