He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Charles Lanning and Della Hughes of Virginia; his brother Halleck Remington; his sister-in-law Marge Reminton; and his cousin Stan Cole.
He is survived by: his wife Nora Lee Lanning; his children, Danille Cook (John) and Christopher Lanning; his grandchildren, Chad Cook (Ami), Cody Cook (Shayla) and Megan Coker (Nolan); his great grandchildren, Jace, Hallee, Ryan, Jackson, Loretta, Eli and Barrett; and his nieces and nephews, Michelle Baldy, Bill Remington, Rick Remington, Jerry Remington and Shelly Remington.
