With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Merland Wesley Goodburn (Lacey, Washington), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 24, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Merland is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Merland's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Levi Goodburn and Frances Mellick Goodburn; and his daughter Connie Goff. He is survived by: his wife Carol Anne Goodburn; his siblings, Carl, Gary (Linda) and Lori Miller; his children, Dan Goodburn (Leanne), Lori Wells (Jay) and Michele Rau (Shane); and his stepchildren, Jill Morris (Kevin), Jeff Barnes (Carole) and Jennifer Deyette. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
