It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vern H. Bauer II (Sequim, Washington), born in Troy, Michigan, who passed away on April 12, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Susan of Sequim; his brother Ted Bauer; his nephews, Jason Bauer (Elizabeth), Jeff Bauer (Jean), Dylan of Michigan, Ryan of Michigan, Jenna Bauer of Michigan, Jacob of Michigan, Katelyn of Michigan and Kaylee Whitney of Michigan; and his niece Amanda Whitney (Mark).

He was 74 and endured a 10-year battle with Alzheimer's disease, keeping his humor and optimism as long as he was able.
