She was predeceased by: her parents, Girard Schilbach and Ann Sherman Schilbach. She is survived by: her husband Bill Buchan of Orcas Island; her siblings, Mike of Kodiak, AK, Jamie of Sturgis, MI and Idy Kiser of Ludington, MI; her niece Liz; and her nephews, Andrew, Tony and Caleb.
