He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Joy and Jody Lawrence; and his grandmother Emma Gillette. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer A. Pintok; and his sisters, Donna Joy of Myrtle Creek, Cathy Joy (Terry Egenhoff) of Missoula, Vicki Joy (Chris) of Dayton and Jami Peters (Preston) of Winston. He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews.

He was the best doctor that we have ever had. I feel like I have lost one of my family members because he made us feel like we were part of his family and for that we are very thankful and privileged to have gotten know Dr Joy. thank you for everything you have done for us. we will miss you very much. the Paxton's”
